Reporting directly to the I&E Supervisor, you'll join a talented team including fellow I&E technicians, mechanics, and a seasoned supervisor who has a mentoring leadership style. It's a great, cohesive team with a nice mix of experience and talent. Though you will be the only I&E Technician on night shift, you and the night shift mechanic will support each other, and you’ll be able to communicate with the team at handoff times to ensure you have the information you need to set you up for success.

Working individually, cross-functionally, and within a team framework, you will repair and maintain instruments, electrical equipment and control systems to support our Charlotte facility's equipment. Strong and supportive team
We have established handoff procedures from shift to shift to ensure everyone on the team is always informed, and we work on keeping lines of communication open to help support the team and the plant. As the only I&E Technician on night shift you’ll spend most of your time on your own tasks, but will have support from, and will lend support to, the Mechanic as needed, so you’ll never be totally on your own.

Great environment
This is an established plant with a combination of state-of-the-art and legacy equipment, and a lean state of mind. We’re actively building a performance culture with high-energy teams that encourage cross-functional collaboration with individual contributions.

Training and development
We offer opportunities for advancement in your discipline, as well as opportunities for cross-training in other disciplines in the maintenance department. If you have the desire and drive to learn and develop your skills, you will have ample support to do exactly that. For example, though we expect you’ll have some training on driving large machinery (cherry picker, forklift, etc.) we will ensure you know everything you need to know for safety, and for your own development, by putting you through our licensing process.

Build a career home
Celgard dynamically stewards its resources, particularly our most important resource: our people. Because of our unique market niches and proprietary technologies, we prefer to promote from within whenever possible, and we use a Progression Matrix to clearly identify your path to growth. As we expand, we'll be looking for proven professionals to grow with us. From this role, you could step up to the next level of I&E Technician and beyond.

Green and growing
As a tech-driven company tied to the green energy sector, we are poised for ongoing growth as tech products from cell phones to electric drive vehicles continue to play an ever-increasing role in people’s lives.

Competitive compensation
Celgard is committed to providing competitive pay and benefit programs that meet the needs of our employees and their families. We recognize that our greatest asset is our people, and that they deserve the best support. In addition to a competitive wage, we offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, a 401(k) plan, holiday and vacation pay, and more.
