The Requirements
To meet the basic qualifications for this role you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Customer Service and Logistics Supervisor opportunity, you also should have:- A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or other related field.
- A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role in Customer Service and Logistics in a manufacturing environment.
- Supervising a team of Customer Service Specialists and managing annual/semi-annual performance goals reviews.
- An ERP system such as Dynamics AX, SyteLine, SAP or equivalent.
- Complete understanding and application of Incoterms 2010.

- Actively participating in and effectively presenting information in meetings and discussion with leaders at all levels within the organization.
- Working in a team-based environment with proven decision-making and problem solving skills.

The Role
Reporting to the Global Customer Service Manager, you will provide leadership to four Customer Service Specialists. Each Specialist handles specific regions and products to support customers in North America and around the world. Logistics and customer service are closely intertwined, and on the logistics side you will work with shipments ranging from a few boxes sent via courier service to airfreight shipments to ocean container shipments. You and your team also will manage import shipments which would consist of returns or incoming Vendor-supplied orders.This role is pivotal to the continued success of the Customer Service areas of responsibilities. Your activities will include training and development, and freight negotiations for domestic and international customer base, including returns. You'll ensure orders are processed to meet customer demands and track on time performance. In addition, you will provide guidance and support to other groups within the organization in order to successfully meet business goals and objectives.
More specifically, you will:
- Serve as a Customer Service and Logistics expert and provide support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement action plans, processes, and procedures to support a variety of activities and responsibilities within Customer Service and Logistics.
- Evaluate, develop, and conduct necessary training in an effort to maintain continuous stability within the group.
- Work closely with various internal and external groups to ensure orders and shipments are processed in an efficient manner.

- Negotiate freight rates with freight forwarders, couriers and trucking companies and develop best options for shipping product to customers within domestic and international markets.
- Perform freight invoice audits and approvals for payment.
- Support the Global Customer Service Manager with the development of annual plans including goals, objectives, targets, training, shipping budget, etc.
- Stay abreast of Federal and International shipping regulations pertaining to Imports and Exports.
