The Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a wide breadth of experience. He/she will be a talented data miner with a strong understanding of business.

To meet the basic qualifications for the Sales Operations Analyst role, you must have: 
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
To be a strong fit for this opportunity, you should also have:
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience; you should have worked in a manufacturing, sales or other environment where you gained deep knowledge of forecasting and how it affects demand planning  Quick question for you - click here
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or other related field
  • Strong financial and data analysis skills
  • Skill and experience with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Outlook), including high-level Excel skills (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.); experience using Access database software is a plus  Quick question for you - click here
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, reporting, and data; Microsoft Dynamics preferred  
  • A motivated, self-starter approach that will challenge existing processes and drive efficiency and improved decision making

This is not simply a “head-down” analyst role, but one in which you’ll engage with multiple levels and titles across Celgard and our parent company, Polypore. The Role

Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, as Sales Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for providing analytical support within Celgard’s Marketing and Sales organizations. On a daily basis you will interact with marketing and sales leadership and provide value added information on business results. Your ongoing analyses will help drive business decisions and improvements in business processes. You’ll provide current and future portfolio management and sales reporting and analysis, demand planning and business forecasting, and future trends. You’ll ensure proper planning for Celgard operations across the world, with the goal of helping drive and maintain accurate information for monthly and quarterly business reviews.

Specifically, you will: 
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to increase forecast accuracy through sales pipeline analysis
  • Focus on identifying data completeness/integrity issues and making data/process improvement recommendations
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process
  • Conduct customer analysis and business forecasting to deliver insightful program analysis using models and tools
  • Perform ad hoc analysis; analyze and synthesize data to generate insights and recommendations
  • Participate in project planning, project definition, design, testing, quality assurance, system documentation and user training related to CRM systems

  • Implement standard metrics and ongoing analytical support processes
  • Manage monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis requirements
  • Perform sales reconciliations, and help with audits and miscellaneous corporate requests
  • Work on special projects such as data management, scenarios for pricing parameters, presentation assistance, ad hoc financial analysis, etc. as requested by management
  • Implement analytics strategy, and repeatable processes / analyses to deliver meaningful and actionable results as it relates to customer behavior, feedback, metrics and segmentation
  • Modify and improve existing models to create more accurate and efficient results
  • Further automation and enhancements of models and tools used for financial analysis
