The Requirements

To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you must have:
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
To be a strong fit for the Process Engineer opportunity, you will need:
  • At least one year of manufacturing experience; web handling and polymer film experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in daily operations and equipment support.
  • Demonstrated group leadership success.
  • Proven problem analysis and resolution experience, using technical data.
  • Familiarity with failure mode and effects analysis and process mapping.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools including 5S, mistake proofing and value stream mapping.

  • Solid computer skills; experience with Minitab statistical software is an advantage.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally Mechanical, or Engineering Technology, or a 4-year technical degree with experience in polymer film production process.

The Role

As Process Engineer you will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for providing daily manufacturing equipment support and ongoing process evaluation. Your goal will be to drive continuous improvement and diminish human error. You’ll lead or participate in various projects/tasks. This is a role where you will lead from a non-authoritative platform, so mentoring, and developing relationships with the operations staff will key to gaining buy-in and support in order to drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing organization. You should be equally comfortable working as a team member or leader, and be willing to aggressively take the lead when action items and responsibilities are set.

Process Engineering team members serve as the front-line, boots on the ground, go-to experts when there is a problem on the manufacturing floor that can’t be easily solved. As a member of the team, you’ll provide assistance by troubleshooting, analyzing data, and determining root cause concerns/complaints. 

Your objectives will include:
  • Identifying and analyzing production problems to control and improve manufacturing processes.

  • Continually improving and optimizing current products through variability reduction.
