Production Engineer
NC - Charlotte
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain systems and work that optimize manufacturing in areas of variability reduction, constraints management, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the CLT Continuous Improvement Program.
- Develop and recommend modifications to existing processes and methodologies with a constant focus on continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Create and maintain incentive programs within Production.
- Provide manufacturing analysis as required throughout the CLT Production organization.
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisors and Training Coordinators to optimize methods and workflow.
- Work with the IT development group to create digital systems to aid with production systems integration.
- Work safely and ensure safety considerations are paramount in any work outputs that he/she may influence.
- Create and maintain standardized work in any required areas within Production.
- Participate in root cause analysis for customer quality complaints as required.
- Provide written and oral reports.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead meetings as needed.
- Will report directly to the Production Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering; Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- 0-2 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage and execute complex Microsoft Excel functions.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts is preferred.
- Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills.
