The Requirements
To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a strong fit for the role of Warehouse Technician & Driver, you will need:- A high-school diploma or the equivalent
- Experience and success working in a warehouse
- A valid and active driver's license, and insurable driving record. A CDL is a plus, but not required
- Experience safely driving a forklift; ability to operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) in a safe and efficient manner
- Solid computer skills including basic knowledge and experience with MS Office programs, including Word and Excel
- General knowledge of shipping and receiving principles and guidelines is strongly preferred
- Experience using RF scanners
- Driving experience is preferred
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, especially in a warehouse setting is a plus
- The willingness to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including day and/or night shifts, and weekends
- The ability and willingness to work in a warehouse environment, dealing with fluctuating indoor temperatures (above and below average temperatures)
- Ability to pass a DOT required physical
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and solid observation skills with the ability to locate information quickly and efficiently.

The Role
As Warehouse Technician & Driver, you will be the third member on one of two nightshift teams working at our new warehouse. Each shift, you will perform shipping and receiving tasks and be responsible for maintaining the safe and secure operation of the warehouse. Tasks will include accurate inventory storage and movement of both raw materials and finished product in to, out of, and around the warehouse areas. You will receive materials, track inventory, prepare shipments, and load the 26 ft. box truck you'll drive. You will be responsible for picking up and delivering raw and finished goods between the warehouse and plant in Concord (typically twice per shift).More specifically, you will:
- Receive and log inbound materials into the warehouse, utilizing information found on packing slips and purchase orders.
- Process, pick, pack, stage, and ship all outbound materials and customer orders.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts.
- Load and unload trucks using PIVs including forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks.
- Drive trucks between Celgard locations, typically, a five-mile trip in city limits. You will carry 9000 pounds maximum and no hazardous materials.
- Successfully pass forklift testing and be able to operate a forklift in a safe and effective manner.
- Band and stretch-wrap material using banding and stretch-wrapping equipment.
- Accurately locate and disposition materials for manufacturing processes and/or finished goods for shipments.
- Use a computer to accurately input transactions into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards.
- Provide assistance in the administration and purchasing of materials.
- Collaborate and demonstrate good communication with team members both within the department and cross-functionally; participate on cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and retain accurate and legible records on a daily basis.
- Participate in employee involvement activities and TS16949 initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets facility standards; participate in 5S activities; organize the warehouse space.
- Train others (new and current employees) as needed.
