The Product Specialist will be managing the Celgard product portfolio.

Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for product sampling and sample tracking of both commercial and developmental products; provide technical information to Sales and Tech Service in support of new opportunities when required.
  • Responsible for driving product development projects through the Stage Gate process.
  • Track the status of product qualifications at key customers and summarize qualification status on a monthly basis.
  • Work with Sales and Operations to sunset products at the end of their life cycle.
  • Draft a Product Plan that outlines market opportunities, profiles target customers and competitors, evaluates the product portfolio against customer needs, and identifies key priorities for development and product enhancements
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements through direct interaction with customers and regional Sales and Tech Service teams, and define desired product attributes. 
  • Interact with Operations/Quality during development of Product and Delivery Specs.
  • Primary point of contact for Sales; responsible for facilitating the flow of information between the field (Sales, Customer, Competition) and product development.
  • Ensure proper communication of the status of major development or enhancement programs with colleagues in Hipore and AK Corporate, where applicable.
  • Deliver field-based product training when necessary.
 
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in Product Marketing or a related function such as Quality Management. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology.
  • Able to work with a diverse team of individuals, both internal and external, across the globe.
  • Ability to establish metrics to manage the product lifecycle.
  • Experience developing product requirements and utilization of a stage gate process to track and document products from inception to end of life cycle.
  • Ability to operate in the global marketplace across different time-zones to work with internal regional heads and key customers to understand market trends, long-term vision, and strategy. 
  • Strong team player; excellent communication and presentation skills.Able to influence across organizations and leadership levels.
  • Ability to manage numerous simultaneous projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess proven matrixed team leadership skills and time management skills.
  • Some travel required.
