We are at the initial stages of this SharePoint deployment and are now looking for a seasoned SharePoint Administrator who can provide technical leadership to optimize the deployment. Unlocking the potential of MS SharePoint, you will not only help us understand the capabilities and constraints of this tool, but also provide strategic support for executive decision making that will help push us to the next level.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)/Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) with a focus on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS 2007)
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related combination of education & experience.
- 3-5 years of SharePoint Portal and Server administration and support including experience with:
- Administration & troubleshooting MOSS 2007.
- Deployment and management of MS Active Directory and MS Exchange environments.
- Providing systems management solutions (MOM, Quest, etc).
- Administration & troubleshooting Windows Server 2000 and 2003.
- Strong knowledge of effective business requirements practices and implementation methodologies.
- Superior analytics and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, a detail orientation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- The willingness and ability to provide after hour on-call support.
- Ability to travel to nationwide & international destinations (up to 20%).

More About Your Role
Reporting to the Global Infrastructure Manager, you'll join a global IT infrastructure team with 8 other personnel at our Charlotte headquarters. Celgard has grown significantly in recent years, both organically and via acquisition, and the IT department is pursuing initiatives to ensure standardization and best practices across the organization.
As we consolidate all our document management systems (Membrana, Celgard, Daramic) into SharePoint and deploy additional functions (workflow, alerts, etc), you will define and develop the interfaces and rules needed for data consolidation and workflow. You will also provide support for the integration of the new sites into our global active directory and email infrastructure.
Specifically, your responsibilities are to:
- Support the design and deployment of a global SharePoint implementation.
- Help develop a business continuity and disaster recovery strategy for the global SharePoint implementation.
- Support technical and non-technical users to resolve SharePoint and related questions.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle.
- Develop and support SharePoint pages and functionality for our user base.
- Maintain security, develop interfaces for data consolidation and develop workflow structures.
- Provide technical consultation in new systems development, new feature or function evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems.
- Help translate business strategies into technology road maps for SharePoint and related systems.
- Prepare design documents and technical papers explaining and supporting the approaches to be taken in the architecture of SharePoint and related systems.
- Provide and maintain operational documentation of our SharePoint solution and related systems.
- Directly support defined projects and related goals.
